The Incarnation of the Son of God (Luke 1:26-38) — We contemplate the message of the Angel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary, announcing that she would conceive and give birth to the Son of God. Mary humbly accepted God's will, saying, "Let it be done to me according to your word." 2. The Visitation of Our Lady to Saint Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-56) — We contemplate Mary's visit to her cousin Elizabeth. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth proclaimed, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." Mary responded with the Magnificat, praising the greatness of God. 3. The elderly Simeon, guided by the Spirit, recognized the child as the long-awaited Messiah, a light to enlighten the nations and the glory of his people Israel. 5. The Finding of Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:41-52) — We contemplate how Mary and Joseph, after searching for him for three days, found the twelve-year-old Jesus in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.
