Inapub: inside the Galvin Brothers' Green Man, Chelmsford

Take a look inside Michelin starred Galvin brothers’ first country pub. Essex-born brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin have extended their foray into pubs by opening a country local in Chelmsford, Essex. The brothers completely transformed the formerly-derelict 14th century pub, investing heavily in the site. After executive chef of Galvin Restaurants Warren Geraghty vocalised his passion for wanting to open a ‘proper british pub’, they found a site close to where the duo grew up in Felsted and got to work. The pub will offer a ‘host a roast’ option on Sundays, where diners can carve their own Sunday lunch. The dining room menu will offer dishes like Dedham Vale chateaubriand with béarnaise sauce & chips, Great Garnets farm sausages & mash and spiced Herdwick lamb flatbreads. The pub will also offer cask and keg ales as well as hand picked wines.
