There are places you return to not because they guarantee spectacular photos, but because they manage to show something slightly different each time. For me, one of those places is Orłowo. In theory, everything is predictable here: the same beach, the same pier, the same cliff. Yet, all it takes is a change in the weather, the cloud pattern, or a few minutes' time difference to return with completely different shots. This time, I arrived before sunrise. The forecast wasn't particularly optimistic. The sky looked rather dull, without much in the way of color, but I learned long ago that forecasts are only a guide. I took my new Tamron 70-180 lens with me. Not to take any special close-ups, but to maintain verticality in the image. This feature is very important to me in long-focus lenses.
