Howells’ “Dallas Service”: Norwich Cathedral 1991 (Michael Nicholas)
From a live BBC radio broadcast from Norwich Cathedral, 11 December 1991, with the cathedral choir, directed by Michael Nicholas, and Neil Taylor (Assistant Organist). The “Dallas Service” was the last setting of the Evening Canticles that Herbert Howells wrote. It came about as a result of a commission from a former pupil, who was director of music at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, Dallas. This was the first broadcast of the "Dallas Service."
