This Miniature Looks Easy… But Was It Too Flat? (Red Gundam)

Another entry in the From Easy to Nightmare series — and this one looked simple at first… but quickly proved otherwise. The goal was to bring it to life using a fast slap-chop / speed paint workflow, building contrast through undershading, controlled base colours, and highlights. This video shows the full process from preparation to final reveal — including: Black primer + grey/white drybrush undershading Speed paint base colours (red, pink, black, white, blue for eyes) Wash for depth White highlight pass to push contrast and glow Final colour adjustments for yellow, blue, and pink accents I also use watered-down white in key areas to pre-brighten sections that need stronger colour pop later — especially yellow accents, blue for the eyes, and the pink for saber blade. And as always, paint names will appear on screen during the process so you know exactly what’s being used. The Forge decides what I paint next — vote in the community poll if you haven’t already.
