The French & Indian War | THE SNOWSHOE COMPANIES 1745 - 1763

The purpose for many Snowshoe companies much like Harmons' Snowshoemen; was to patrol and protect New England frontier towns from hostile Native tribes as well as the French during the war. In this video you'll be given a brief history of the Snowshoe Companies and the clothes and gear that they would have worn. Enjoy!
