According to the information obtained, the double-decker bus, with license plate 34 DT 5602, belonging to Metro Turizm and driven by Enver Büyükkol, carrying 75 passengers and 5 crew members, and traveling from Tekirdağ to Ordu, went out of control for an unknown reason and overturned into the ditch. Following the accident, health, AFAD, fire and security teams were dispatched to the scene. 46 people were injured in the accident, 2 of them seriously. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after initial treatment. The Amasya Governorship issued a statement regarding the accident, saying, "Around 04:20 this morning, a double-decker intercity bus carrying 75 passengers and 5 crew members overturned on the D/100-17 highway, Gümüşhacıköy-Merzifon direction, near Karamağara, resulting in a traffic accident. Following the accident, health, security, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), and fire department units were immediately dispatched to the scene. A total of 46 people were injured, 2 of them seriously, and the injured have been transported to nearby hospitals. A judicial investigation into the accident has begun, and we wish a speedy recovery to our injured citizens."
