On Saturday, March 9, 2024, the Tatami Sport Andalusian Championship was held in Ogíjares, Granada, where we competed with two competitors from the club and myself. There were promising young debutants and very experienced competitors. There was a very strong participation of both male and female athletes, and this writer fought against a seasoned champion from the Tanave Vikings of Huelva, Luis Carlos Barrera. It was a tough, rough fight, not as technical as we both would have liked, and somewhat high-contact, although that is normal in our heavyweight division. The fight didn't have the scoreline our club would have liked, but we also can't agree with the referee's decision, as the doctor stopped the fight after several medical stoppages, and the refereeing director couldn't restart it, as they did. All in all, we're incredibly proud of the fight we gave the public and of being active again. PATH TO GLORY FOR A LOT, Always Nández Team.
