DNA Transfection Procedure (Reverse) for Transfection Cell Block
www.cellbioed.com This Cell Block describes how to transfect plasmid DNA into eukaryotic cells using a reverse transfection protocol. DNA transfection is commonly used to transiently express a protein of interest, or a fluorescently labeled marker of a cellular protein, organelle, or subdomain for live cell imaging. This procedure is common in basic research labs and helps students to learn and practice cell counting, aseptic technique, micropipetting, and basic imaging.
