ARD Ratgeber Technik 1998 | Digitale Kompaktkameras

I personally started taking photographs in 1998. Back then, there was still a wide range of new analog cameras available. I still remember clearly that people assumed that digital cameras would, of course, improve, but wouldn't really compete with 35mm negatives. Today we know that this has long since happened! I bought my first digital compact camera around 2004. It was a Minolta E323, which is still in my closet today (and hasn't been used for a very long time). Even though the quality of this 35mm camera was anything but outstanding, I hardly used the analog camera after that. The enormous cost savings were ultimately the reason. Some of the names mentioned in the film report have long since disappeared from the market. Minolta and Agfa were doing quite well back then. Sony was a complete newcomer to photography. From the poor test results at the time, they developed over the years into one of the market leaders. What are your memories of that time? What was your first digital camera? Do you still shoot (again) with film? The "ARD-Ratgeber" (ARD Guide) was a weekly consumer magazine from 1971 to 2014. The series was divided into various topics and focuses. The first guides were technology, money, health, and law. Later, cars and traffic, building and living, school and career, home and garden, food and drink, fashion, travel, and the internet were added. #Photography #Retro #DigitalCamera #CompactCamera #Camera #RetroTechnology
