OLMO Sintex & Campagnolo Chorus 1st gen RESTORATION

Today's video is dedicated to Mr. Giuseppe Olmo: one of the most famous Italian cyclists of the 1930s and the founder of his own bicycle brand Olmo Biciclette. My OLMO Sintex frame obviously didn't always have the best care in its life, as you can see from the number of rusty places. This time we will not repaint the frame and let's just call the flaws the patina effect. While working with the frame, I tried my best to clean and polish the original beautiful color combination and remove rust. I treated the places where the tooth of time and corrosion left traces with a rust remover and tried to stabilize them with a classic varnish. I used the first-generation Campagnolo Chorus set for the build, which was often seen on the bike at that time. I'm completely excited about Olmo on Chorus… and the first ride confirmed my enthusiasm… it's going great. I hope you will like it too. Můj OLMO Sintex rám evidentně neměl ve svém životě vždy tu nejlepší péči, jak vidíte na množství rezavých míst. Tentokrát nebudeme rám přelakovávat a nedostatkům na kráse říkejme prostě patina. Během práce s rámem jsem se snažil co nejvíce vyčistit a vyleštit původní krásnou barevnou kombinaci a odstranit rez. Místa kde zub času a koroze zanechal stopy jsem ošetřil odrezovačem a pokusil se je stabilizovat klasickou fermeží. Na stavbu jsem použil sadu Campagnolo Chorus první generace, která byla na kole často vidět a kterou jsem nedávno dokompletoval.
