Worthwhile Stop if you're crossing i94 - Painted Canyon Nature Trail

Hello frands! Here we go with a trip to someplace I've always wanted to stop on my roadtrips across the US - the Painted Canyon Nature Trail in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit, North Dakota! While I did also drive through the South Unit, this video features a hike right off of the I-94 Overlook. I don't know about you but that's pretty rare to find a decent hike that gets you away from traffic and bumbling tourists right off the interstate. We're taking the Painted Canyon Nature Trail, a brief, less than a mile, hike down into the Canyon, around some bluffs, through a seasonal streambed, near some small silica formations, and back up to the Overlook. The trail is unmarked/unadvertised within the "center" of the Overlook, where most people congregate for the bathroom and Overlook outcropping - it's to the far, far left of the parking lot, near the Dog Area, and you'll see a small sign that says "trail" point to it. On the far right of the parking lot is a sign with a map and a very obvious entrance to a trail - but this is different, it's the longer trail that converges with the rest of the Park.
