Hegel's Philosophy of Right. Ethical Life §148, Miguel Giusti Miguel Giusti is arguably the most important philosopher in Peru in the field of political philosophy. He is a Full Professor in the Department of Humanities at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He is Vice President for Latin America of the World Association of Philosophy Departments of Catholic Universities and General Coordinator of the Latin American Network for Studies on Recognition. He is also responsible for the German-Latin American Network for Research and Doctoral Studies in Philosophy in Peru. He served as President of the Inter-American Society of Philosophy from 2004 to 2009. He studied philosophy at universities in Peru, Italy, France, and Germany. He received a research fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for postdoctoral studies at the University of Frankfurt under the supervision of Jürgen Habermas. He specializes in the history of ethics, contemporary ethics, and the philosophy of German idealism, topics on which he teaches courses and seminars.
