There is nothing else like this machine on the market. The Legion Fitness Horizontal Leg Press Hack Squat is exactly what it sounds like — a leg press where you press straight out, and a hack squat where you lay completely flat on your back. No 45-degree angle. No sled. Just you, horizontal, staring at your ceiling and moving real weight. I was skeptical when I found it. Legion didn't even have a video of a person using it on their website. So I reached out, they sent one out, and I put it through 90 days of leg pressing, hack squatting, calf raises, single-leg work, and every foot position I could think of to figure out exactly what this thing is and isn't. In this review I cover: 💪🏼 What the Legion LPHS actually is and why the horizontal format changes everything 💪🏼 The belt-driven 1-to-1 cable ratio — and why it will humble you fast 💪🏼 Build quality: 11-gauge steel, commercial Tough Stuff DNA, and what that means at this price point 💪🏼 The leg press: how pressing straight out from your hips feels different from anything at 45 degrees 💪🏼 The hack squat: laying flat, foot plate options, and the knees-over-toes setup 💪🏼 Unilateral work and calf raises — what's genuinely possible and where it falls short 💪🏼 Sizing and range of motion — the tall lifter problem (I'm 6'1" and I'm right at the edge) 💪🏼 My full wish list for a future version: more travel, a weight release mechanism, a calf block 💪🏼 How it compares to traditional 45-degree leg press hack squats 💪🏼 Exactly who this machine is and isn't for 💪🏼 Final verdict and whether the $2,199 price tag holds up 🙏🏻 Thank you for supporting the channel.
