TRIKE ADVENTURES ACROSS AUSTRALIA, Fn-Qd part 7

Now we have left Cooktown making our way to the Atherton Tablelands stopping at Mareeba and taking in the Ford Museum privately owned and managed by a young couple their knowledge in the area was well needed if ever you are passing its well worth the visit and Jan said the coffee was very good. i went into the info store where they gave me the rundown of everything nearby. we spent 4 days in the tablelands and could have spent more including the waterfall circuit. The accommodation in Mareeba was well kept and good value. we went on to Herberton and stayed for 2 nights so we could check out their historic village well worth the visit. The caravan park was a typical 3-star family-owned park if you wanted your 5-star waterpark park you're in the wrong area. The cabin was a good size sitting in a scrub surround so peaceful. The owners were very obliging too. On we move to the Savanagh way .
