Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 [Linux 4k gaming 🎮, solar-powered ☀️, AV1 codec, native Wayland, FSR 4]

🎮 Gaming on Linux: Simple, Stable and Solar-Powered. My setup is intentionally kept lean to maximize efficiency while gaming off-grid on solar ☀️⚡💡: OS: Debian 13 (Stable) + Backports for the latest kernel (7.x+) and AMD firmware support. GPU: AMD RX 9070 — usually with everything maxed out at 4K resolution. Steam: Flatpak version. No particular reason except sometimes having access to mesa-git is nice while tinkering. Streaming: OBS (Flatpak) at 1440p@60fps via AV1 encoding. Webcam: vdo.ninja via my phone. 🚀 Optimization Tweaks 98% of games run out of the box now. Check compatibility here: https://www.protondb.com/ ....still; when I feel like tinkering: I've switched to GE-Proton or proton-cachyos for some extras. MESA_VK_WSI_MAX_FPS=57 # Stays in VRR range (60Hz monitor) PROTON_USE_NTSYNC=1 # Lowest kernel-level sync latency PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 # Native Wayland input/display PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 Why cap at 57 FPS? To stay perfectly within the FreeSync/VRR range with V-Sync OFF. It eliminates tearing and stutter while preventing the GPU from wasting power. Using OBS Game Capture might bypass this limit - and in that case I use `frame_limit = 57` in my MangoHud config. [ I'm streaming via Proton VPN because politicians suck: https://pr.tn/ref/33EQ0TFV ]
