The three most common measures are the mean, median, and mode. Measures of central tendency  Mean The mean, or average, is calculated by summing all values in a dataset and dividing by the number of values. I Median The median is the middle value in a dataset ordered numerically. If there's an odd number of values, it's the middle one; with an even number, it's the average of the two middle values. The median is preferred for skewed distributions or data with outliers because it's not affected by extreme values. For {1, 2, 3, 4, 10}, the median is 3.
