Gran Vals
Francisco Tarrega was a Spanish composer and guitarist of the late Romantic period. His best known composition is probably 'Recuerdos de la Alhambra' but in 2002 Nokia used a phrase from his 'Gran Vals' as the default ringtone ontheir range of moble telephones. This arrangement for Wind Quintet emulates the relaxed, gentle feel of the original Waltz and provides an excellent moment of peacefulness in a concert programme. Score and parts are available for download from www.sheetmusicdirect. com or Sheetmusicplus.com We would love to hear if you have played this music and suggestions for other arrangements at bumpmusicedtions.co.uk
