Is Dalian as beautiful as they say? - DALIAN CITY, LIAONING PROVINCE, CHINA (辽宁省，大连市)

I kept hearing for years how beautiful the city of Dalian was. Dalian (大连市) is located in northeastern China (东北) at the southern tip of Liaoning Province (辽宁省). I finally decided to go see for myself whether or not it actually lives up to the hype. Did it? Well, you'll have to watch to find out. Being a coastal city is what gives Dalian a lot of it's beauty. But beyond that, the city has a good fresh, clean feel to it. In this tour we visit a few places around town. We visit Xinghai Square (星海广场), we visit the 'Fake Venice' that made the newspapers years ago when it was first opened to the public, as well as several other places around the city. We also try some of the local specialties, which unsurprisingly generally involve seafood of some sort. Another interesting aspect of Dalian is that back in 2012 when China was awaiting to see who would replace Hu Jintao as leader of China, the two people most likely to take the throne were Xi Jinping and Bo Xilai. Bo Xilai actually used to be the Mayor of Dalian.
