[Throwback] [Pre-ECID EWL] SMRT Alstom Movia R151 – 833/834: Tanah Merah → Pasir Ris

Date taken: 07/07/2024 A ride onboard a SMRT Alstom Movia R151 train, 833/834, in July 2024, on the East West Line (EWL), 2 years before the Tanah Merah Modification Project (TMMP) and East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) projects are officially completed. In this throwback video, the train was launched from the former Changi Depot straight into Tanah Merah Platform A (which is now reconfigured as Platform B and remained closed), in the opposite direction of travel. The Changi Airport Line (CAL) track was connected to the former westbound track, and in a brief moment, a former Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151 train was seen operating. The CAL track has since been disconnected from the former Changi Depot, and, all KHI C151 trains have been decommissioned since end-September 2025. Filmed with iPhone 15 Pro Max.
