The sushi, in particular, is prepared in a live kitchen, where each guest takes turns making sushi on the spot, allowing you to enjoy fresh nigiri sushi and hand-rolled sushi. This buffet alone offers everything from steak and sushi to tempura, sashimi, noodles, and rice! We were overwhelmed by the variety, and even my husband and I couldn't finish it all! lol Both dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. The hotel's beautiful carpets and Japanese-style design are so relaxing that just being there is soothing. The baths are from Akiu Onsen, said to have been beloved by Date Masamune, and feature highly concentrated waters said to have beneficial effects, primarily for relieving fatigue. The baths are named after Hikoboshi and Orihime, the two legendary figures of Hikoboshi and Orihime. A free shuttle bus is available from Sendai Station (advance reservations required). Sightseeing buses such as Loople Sendai are also available near Sendai Station, making it a great place to enjoy sightseeing.
