Bestway / Intex Above ground pools MUST DO Easy & Cheap Filter and Skimmer upgrades.
Tied of Algee, cloudy water and floating bugs? Ditch the stock crap cartridge filter for a proper Sand Filter (I used the $225 12" Intex filter from Amazon). I also installed a Hayward skimmer ($55 from Amazon). These plug into the standard hoses except for the skimmer, you will need the 1.5" in Intex adapter for the skimmer (Amazon $9). Overnight my pool went cloudy to crystal clear! I bought the pool in May and struggled with Algee all summer long....wish I upgraded 3 months ago!
