“I Got It Bad (and That Ain’t Good)” - Jim Riggs at the Mighty 3/21 Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ
Here’s a little clip of our late friend Jim Riggs playing the Mighty 3/21 Wurlitzer at the Long Performing Arts Center in Lafayette, Indiana. Jim recorded this tune on the organ’s relay system while visiting several years ago. Through this, we are able to hear him at the console as if he were still here with us. His musicianship was unmatched and is able to bring out beauty and nuance seldom heard on these instruments. Here, Jim is playing the 1941 Duke Ellington tune “I Got It Bad (and That Ain’t Good.” Enjoy.
