A cast talk event for the third terrestrial drama series of the popular series "Japan Unified," starring actors Motomiya Yasukaze and Yamaguchi Yoshiyuki, "Japan Unified Tokyo Edition" (TV Tokyo, Wednesday midnight 1:00), was held in Tokyo on July 20th, with Motomiya, Yamaguchi and other cast members appearing. It is a success story about two former delinquents, Himuro Renji (Motomiya) and Tamura Yuto (Yamaguchi), who become the underboss and head of the Kyowakai, Japan's largest yakuza organization, and aim to reach the top of the Japanese yakuza world with the theme of "helping the weak and defeating the strong." In addition to the regular series, three films have been released, starting with "The Yamazaki Family: Japan Unification" (2022), followed by "Himuro Renji" (2024) and "Tamura Yuto" on June 6th this year. The first terrestrial drama, "Hokkaido Arc" (Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting) was broadcast in 2022, and the second "Kanto Arc" (Nippon Television) was broadcast in 2023. The third terrestrial drama series, titled "Tokyo Arc," depicts a battle between Japan's largest yakuza organization, "Kyowakai," "Tokuryu," a group of shady part-time workers that has become a major social problem in recent years, and the "police" that protects the city. The first female main cast members in the series include Shinoda Mariko as Torii An, a detective who investigates the cases caused by Tokuryu, and Katase Rino as Hanazono Reiko, a mysterious charismatic investor who is involved in numerous cases. At the event, in addition to Motomiya, Yamaguchi, Shinoda, and Katase, the cast members Tate Masami, who plays Nakajima Yuki, Katsuya, who plays Saito Hiroki, and Kiyabu Yutaka, who plays Onaga Terukuni, were all present. In addition to answering questions from viewers and fans at the venue, a "Japan Unified Comprehension Quiz" was also held for Shinoda and Katase, who joined the "Japan Unified" family in the "Tokyo Edition". Shinoda, who participated for the first time, revealed, "Behind the scenes, everyone was eating sweets all the time. It was a really cute and fun set.
