Historical Torbay : The Brixham Battery ( 2020)

Torquay Museum Society, in association with local film maker John Tomkins of Emberlense Productions and Brixham Battery Heritage Group, have produced a fascinating and informative documentary about the World War II Brixham Battery. Originally built in 1940, the Battery has been lovingly restored over the past two decades. This documentary features interviews with volunteers, who give an insight into what the Battery would have been like during World War II. This documentary is the first in a series of three films which delve into the extraordinary history of Torbay, and were commissioned by Torbay Culture , Torquay Museum Society and Arts Council England’s Create to Recover Scheme.
