Dr. Richard T. Lee: Regeneration of a new heart: the stem cell approach
This presentation was part of the fifth annual 2020 Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium. This presentation was part of the Friday Dec 4th, Research and Innovation Day. The fifth annual Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium was held virtually for the first time, Dec. 4-5, 2020 (all times Canada – Eastern Standard Time). This meeting, which blends clinical innovations with the latest scientific advances, has grown to become Canada’s largest conference on heart failure. On Friday, December 4th, our research-focused symposium featured national and international experts who will explore novel work in precision medicine, genomics, regenerative medicine, immunology, as well as sensor and machine learning technologies About the speaker: Dr. Richard Lee, MD Richard Lee is a professor of stem cell and regenerative biology at Harvard University and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lee leads the Cardiovascular Diseases Program at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, and practices cardiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. His lab seeks to understand heart failure and age-related metabolic diseases, and discover new therapies that include stem cell transplantation strategies and new biological agents. https://tedrogersresearch.ca
