Scott Avery – Ecstasy

Ecstasy begins Child Self’s B-side with a tight, industrial wrap. From the earliest moments of its long, experimental intro, "Ecstasy" is Scott Avery’s commentary on, and celebration of, the club context. Distorted and delayed spatial reverberations sneak into this dance track that rewards sustained focus with the epic release of a hot finish. The four sonically distinct sections are the epitome of the EP itself, representing the four tracks that makeup Child Self. Like the dark vault of a rarely-accessed memory, it proclaims Avery’s ascent—he breaks through with the audacity of thundering bass. Ecstasy music video from Scott Avery's debut EP, Child Self.
