The Name of the Game - Felicity Paige original

Here's a little tune I've been humming to myself for awhile, thought I'd make it official and share it here. Inspired by the impending life choices and constant change that is my life, it's quite personal to me. Songwriting is a difficult combination of overly personal and utter BS - so take it as you will :) . ALSO, to set the record straight for all the comments I keep getting: I am boring old right handed - I just have a phone that likes to switch things up on me. . . . . . LYRICS: We thought we were saying goodbye We packed up our things and we tried How could the best time of our lives Pass by in just the blink of an eye? I don’t know the name of the game we played When we were dancing, we were singing in the rain (Instrumental) I see me dancing now in a poodle skirt I see you putting turkey on the table Then the voice comes on the radio announcing that swing song With that rustic sorta vintage sorta sound So the day came when we weren’t expecting it Our goodbye kisses soaked with tears and my mascara If only you knew the song that was stuck inside my head, I think you’d cry You definitely would cry For me For me For us For me I don’t know the name of the game we played When we were dancing, we were singing in the rain
