Gérard Depardieu : Blessures secrètes

Gérard Depardieu is a giant of French cinema. A man without boundaries, limits, or borders. But how did this unwanted child build such a destiny for himself in the face of adversity? The general public is well acquainted with Gérard Depardieu, the gifted performer, his great roles, the bulimic actor capable of excess, but do they really know the man behind the actor? To understand him, we must go back to his early years, those of a kid raised in a modest family in Châteauroux. He experienced resourcefulness and dealing to survive, the rise to Paris, the discovery of the theater, overcoming speech problems, and leading roles. And then came the time of success and fame, but also of excesses, doubts, hidden wounds, and that more difficult personal role to fulfill: that of father. Thanks to the testimonies of his loved ones, his brother, and his childhood friends, this documentary reveals a personality more fragile and complex than he appears. Directed by Benoit Bertrand-Cadi
