Deeper Truth (John 4)

In The Deep End message on “Deeper Truth” from John 4, Andrew Chavarrilla (Lake Dallas Church of Christ) offered a fresh perspective on the Samaritan woman at the well, challenging the traditional view that she was a sinful outcast. Highlighting Jesus’ intentional journey through Samaria, Andrew described her as spiritually curious, theologically aware, and open to truth. Their conversation revealed Jesus’ call to worship in spirit and in truth, and her encounter with Him moved her to leave her water jar, return to her town, and share her testimony, leading many to believe. Andrew urged us to see people beyond surface assumptions, to be willing to “go out of our way” for even one soul, and to make evangelism personal by sharing our own stories of how Jesus has transformed our lives.
