But it has a different twist, it's CULINARY! Come along and find out who will advance from Group B! Recipes: Group B: Bündner Nusstorte: Swiss walnut and caramel tart Bündner Nusstorte is a famous dessert from the canton of Graubünden. It's intense, perfectly sweet, and highly valued as a gift. Ingredients (dough) 300 g flour 150 g cold butter 120 g sugar 1 egg 1 pinch of salt Ingredients (filling) 250 g chopped walnuts 200 g sugar 200 ml heavy cream 1 tablespoon honey (optional) Preparation 1. Make the dough, refrigerate for 30 minutes. 2. Caramelize the sugar until golden brown. 3. Add heavy cream (carefully) and stir until it becomes a creamy caramel. 4. Mix in the walnuts. 5. Line the pan, add the filling, cover with dough. 6. Bake at 180°C for 35-45 minutes. Tips Only cut when cold (caramel will firm up). It's even better the next day. Group B: Poutine Canadenge Ingredients: 1kg potatoes, 500g cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons flour, 500ml beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and salt 1. Gravy (the secret): Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and cook for about 2-5 minutes until browned. Add the beef broth little by little, stirring to avoid lumps. Add the Worcestershire sauce and season with pepper. Let it simmer until thickened. 2. French Fries: Cut the potatoes, wash them to remove the starch and dry them well. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. 3. Assembly: Place the French fries in a bowl. Cover with cubed cheese curds or mozzarella. Pour the hot gravy over the top to melt the cheese. Serve immediately. Tip: The ideal cheese is cheese curds (Canadian curd cheese), but in Brazil the best alternative is fresh curd cheese or mozzarella balls. Group B: Qatar Lemonade Ingredients • Lemon juice: 1 cup of fresh lime juice (approximately 4 to 5 limes). Water: 3 to 4 cups of very cold water. Mint: 1 cup of fresh, well-washed mint leaves. Sugar or Honey: To taste (usually between 1/2 and 3/4 cup). Ice: Plenty of crushed or cubed ice. Preparation Method 1. Prepare the lemon: Squeeze the limes to obtain the juice. 2. Blend: In a blender, add the lemon juice, water, mint, and sugar. 3. Blend: Blend everything until the mint leaves are completely crushed and the drink is a light green and frothy. 4. Serve: Add plenty of ice to the blender and pulse again, or serve directly into tall glasses with ice. Tips for the Perfect Lemonade To avoid bitterness: The traditional Arabic technique involves blending only the juice with the mint. However, if you prefer to blend the whole lemon (Swiss style), remove the central white part and the peel. Garnish: Serve with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon.
