Helping The Homeless Ends In a Tearful Surprise

Today, I teamed up with professional BMX rider Ryan Mills and Rob Banghart from Shine a Light to ride electric bikes through Las Vegas and help people experiencing homelessness. The e-bikes allowed us to reach areas we normally could not access while carrying burgers, water, hygiene wipes, dog food and other essential supplies. Along the way, we met several people living on the streets, shared meals and connected them with Shine a Light, an organization that helps people transition out of homelessness. The day did not go exactly as planned. We ran out of food, dealt with a flat tire in 101-degree heat and made multiple trips for more water and meals. But the unexpected challenges made the teamwork and the connections we formed even more meaningful. The biggest surprise came after I met Mark, a member of the channel who had previously experienced homelessness and addiction. Mark worked hard to rebuild his life, find stable housing and secure a job, but his homemade electric bike no longer had enough range to get him to and from work. He thought I was stopping by to give him a T-shirt. Instead, I surprised him with a brand-new Lectric e-bike that could reliably get him to work. Thank you to everyone who supports this channel and makes moments like this possible. Whether you watch, share, comment, become a member or purchase from JustKnate.com, you are part of Team Just Us.
