Ryokan Honjin suffered devastating damage in the "July 2020 heavy rains," but when it was rebuilt, the owner wanted to "create a friendly inn where guests can spend time with their beloved dogs without any restrictions," and after three years of construction, reopened in spring 2023. It is a very warm and hospitable inn.
