He allegedly flew in by helicopter, landed in Biscayne Bay, came to shore by raft, walked the property, and left the same way he arrived. When reporters asked the developer directly if the visitor was Elon Musk, he said "He might have. I don't get involved in who sees it." Whether it was Musk or not this is an awesome story. The developer is Todd Michael Glaser, a Miami Beach native who has made a career out of buying infamous properties and flipping them to billionaires. He paid $105 million for this site in 2025, tried to flip it for $169 million eight weeks later, got no takers, tore the whole thing down, and is now building a 42,000 square foot compound that he plans to sell for $300 million when it's done.
