"I really enjoy the Hustler gear" says Peter Smithson of his Hustler ShearPlus shear grabs (NEW)

Peter and James Smithson, father and son dairy farmers from Taranaki, New Zealand, have found relief in their farming routine with the introduction of the Hustler ShearPlus LX160. Peter explains how the ShearPlus has significantly improved their lives: "We had a pit of silage and we bought the Hustler Shear grabs, and it's made life a lot easier." With 650 cows and 850 acres to manage, the Smithsons appreciate the efficiency this equipment brings to their daily tasks. James, Peter's oldest son who works on the farm, describes how he uses the Shear grabs to cut the face of the pit and load up the silage wagon, making the feeding process smoother. The Smithsons initially faced the challenge of finding a solution for feeding the silage out efficiently. Peter recalls, "We had a pit of silage and we had to figure out how we were going to feed the silage out this year." However, James stumbled upon the Hustler Shear grab at the 2022 Fieldays event in Mystery Creek, New Zealnd and recognized its potential as a valuable addition to their farm. Impressed by its simplicity, James says, "They're a quite simple tool to use. You just stab the forks into the pit and use the hydraulics to cut the face." One of the standout features of the Shear grab is its ability to seal the silage, ensuring its longevity. Peter emphasizes, "The Shear grab comes down and keeps it sealed, so the silage lasts - doesn't go off if you like." The convenience of the equipment is evident in the time savings it offers. Previously, it would take the Smithsons two to three hours to feed out the bales individually, but now they can complete the task in just 40 minutes. James expresses his satisfaction, stating, "Taking less time in is definitely more enjoyable to do with good gear and the system we have now." In addition to time savings, the ShearPlus also allows the Smithsons to efficiently handle the plastic and string from the bales. Peter explains, "So when we're doing bales we're able to lock the plastic and the string in the grabs, and then take the string and plastic away, which is great." This makes the process quicker and more streamlined. The durability and user-friendliness of the Hustler gear have won the Smithsons over, with Peter concluding, "Yeah, I really enjoy the Hustler gear. It's easy to use, and it lasts, and it's made life a lot easier." ➤ TRAILED UNROLLA: www.hustlerequipment.com/attachments/shear-grab ➤ SUBSCRIBE TO HUSTLER YOUTUBE CHANNEL to be the first to get notified of our new videos: http://bit.ly/Hustler_Youtube_Subscribe ➤ VISIT OUR WEBSITE and get a quote today: https://www.hustlerequipment.com ➤ GET OUR LATEST NEWS directly in your emails: https://www.hustlerequipment.com/news Join the conversation on social media using the hashtag #hustlerequipment ➤ FACEBOOK:   / hustlerfarming   ➤ INSTAGRAM:   / hustlerequi.  . ➤ TWITTER:   / hustlerfarming   ➤ LINKEDIN:   / hust.  . ➤ ANY QUESTIONS?
