Cupertino Insight #211 (June 1985)
The June 3, 1985 edition of Cupertino Insight features a preview of "Ask the Mayor," a new live call-in television program that premieres on Channel 30 (the City Channel) in the Summer of 1985. Mayor Phil Johnson joins Dorothy in the studio to discuss the program. Then, Finance Director Blaine Snyder and City Manager Robert Quinlan present an overview and forecast of the City's Budget process. Public Works Director Bert Viskovich visits the studio to provide an overview of the City's Five-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The show concludes with a look at Youth Soccer and Parks and Recreation's Summer Programs. Parks and Recreation Supervisor Carol Scurich provides the details regarding the summer programs. Due to copyright restrictions, the original music track, "While You See a Chance," by Steve Winwood was removed from the Youth Soccer video segment. This video is one in a series of programs presented as part of the Cupertino City Channel's digital video archive project.
