The white gondolas are known as ‘Umihiko’ and the red gondolas as ‘Yamahiko’. From Sumaura Park Station to the top of the mountain, 246 metres above sea level, you can fully enjoy the views of the sea, mountains, city and sky of Kobe. Carlator The ‘Carlator’ is an unusual ride up a steep mountain slope. Visitors board a two-seater vehicle from a retro Japanese boarding area and enjoy the views on either side as they climb the steep incline. The ride is popular for its ‘uncomfortable’ feel, as you slowly climb up the slope while feeling the vibrations, making the experience almost like enjoying an attraction. Sightseeing Lift This is a sightseeing lift that connects mountains to mountains. It is a bit thrilling and exciting to ride the swing-like lift with only one body.
