‘They’ll come running back’: Trump fires up over ‘hopeless’ Spain, orders all US trade be cut off

US President Donald Trump has taken a brutal swipe at Spain while at the NATO summit in Turkey after they had previously refused to help America in its war against Iran. “Spain is a wasted cause. We don’t want to do any trade business with Spain anymore, by the way; I’d like you to cut it up,” he said. “Spain is a terrible partner in NATO. They don’t participate; they don’t pay – I don’t want anything to do with Spain. “Cut off all trade with Spain please, including visits ... watch them come running back; they’ll come running back.”
