I Built a Go-Anywhere Guitar from an Old Cheap Acoustic

Not every guitar needs to be expensive. Sometimes it just needs to be the one you're willing to throw in the truck, take to the lake, or bring on vacation. In this video, I take an old budget Johnson acoustic that had been sitting unused for years and transform it into something I genuinely enjoy playing. Along the way, I upgraded the hardware, refinished the guitar, adjusted the setup, and discovered that this project became about much more than making an inexpensive guitar look better. It became a guitar with a purpose. This isn't a step-by-step tutorial.
