Longwood Gardens - LIGHT by Bruce Munroe - SOS Installation - June 2022

In this light art installation the sound is mimicking a person flipping through radio stations; you'll hear a clip of a song and the lights change to match that song, then they all scramble as the station changes and something else comes on... sometimes the news or talk radio as well. Every once in awhile Morse Code for S.O.S. interrupts the broadcast. This is just a 2 minute clip of the installation, there are far more songs - and numerous following the SOS theme. Bruce Munroe is a British artist who specializes in mixed-media large scale light-based installations. Longwood Gardens is located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and last hosted a Bruce Munroe exhibit (before this one in 2022) in 2012.
