Canning Tomatoes-Water Bath Canning
The water bath processing method uses in home canning for high acid foods. Jars are filled with food, sealed loosely with a lid, then boiled completely covered in water. In this video, I show you how to can tomatoes using that process. Tip: If the water canning method calls for more than 10 minutes of processing time in boiling water, experts say that this will fully sterilize the jars without any need for early sterilization. BUT..I would warm up the jars so they aren't submerged in boiling water cold, after filling with tomatoes, as they could crack.
