Mike Reed plays "Mack the Knife" on his Hammond Organ
"Mack the Knife" or "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer" is a song composed by Kurt Weill with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht for their 1928 music drama "The Threepenny Opera". The song has become a popular standard recorded by many artists, including a US and UK number one hit for Bobby Darin in 1959. The song was originally introduced to American audiences in 1933 in the first English-language production of The Threepenny Opera. I just love this song so much, especially for the golden opportunity to play cool pedal bass lines up-tempo. So one more time, with big-band Hammond Organ, because "Life is Good" and Monday 9/21/2020 grooves. 🎹😎🎹
