PPAs: Buyers, Sellers and Lenders
As subsidies decrease and as more institutions adopt stricter environmental guidelines, generators and consumers need a means to sell and purchase green electricity without exposure to volatile merchant power prices. A PPA between the producer and its offtakers offers that solution. This discussion explores what the PPA market place looks like today and which structures are on offer to generators and consumers, dispel the misnomers and misplaced myths of complexity and consider the impact the current pandemic might have on existing and upcoming PPAs. Speakers sharing their insight include: Carsten Brinck, Managing Partner & Senior Advisor, Brinckmann Group Doreen Abeysundra, Senior Originator, Vattenfall Natasha Luther-Jones, Global Co-Chair, Energy and Natural Resources Sector, DLA Piper Karin Schramm, Senior Director at Bayerische Landesbank
