One of the models that marks the history of Honda in Brazil and in the world, Biz reached the impressive mark of 4 million units produced in the factory in Manaus (AM). Currently available with two engine options, one with 110 cc and the other with 125 cc, its great differential is the gear change without using the clutch lever, large wheels and the convenience of the space under the seat. The history of the Honda Biz dates back more than 60 years and was inspired by the Super Cub, a model that inaugurated the CUB category in the world, launched in Japan. History of the Honda BIZ With more than 20 years on the domestic market, the history of the Honda Biz ends up having much older origins, in 1958, when Honda Japan inaugurated the Category Upper Basic segment, also known as CUB, by launching the Honda Super Cub there. Here, the history of the CUB models begins around 1992 when, initially, the Honda C-100 Dream (image below) arrived in Brazil through import. With the name C-100 BIZ, the model was launched 23 years ago, in 1998, and shook up the two-wheeled market, being the first CUB in the world to feature the much-used space under the seat. Honda BIZ updates in the domestic market Of course, over time, the Honda BIZ would need updates to remain competitive in the market and continue to dominate the segment's sales volume. Because of this, the model's first major update was released in 2005. The Honda C-100 Biz evolved, becoming a version with a larger engine, with 124.9 cc, and was renamed the Honda BIZ 125, leaving the C-100 behind. In 2009, it became the first small-displacement motorcycle in Brazil to receive the modern PGM-FI electronic injection system at the time. This technology improves engine efficiency, resulting in lower emissions of pollutant gases and improved fuel consumption. In 2011, another innovative technology was applied to the Honda BIZ, the Flex engine version (above), which could be fueled with either gasoline or ethanol, and the fuel tank capacity was increased by 1.5 liters, from 4 to 5.5 liters. Just one year later, realizing that there was room in the market, Honda launched the new BIZ 100 (above), a 100cc version inspired by the BIZ 125 that was introduced as the entry-level option for the BIZ family, which now has two versions. In 2016, five years after its launch, the entry-level version received an update to its engine, featuring electronic injection technology and increasing its capacity, and became the BIZ 110i. Last major update in the history of the Honda BIZ The last major update of the Honda BIZ took place in 2018. The two versions of the most famous CUB in the country came with aesthetic, technological and even mechanical changes that aimed to make the model even more suitable for the current market. Honda BIZ 2021 Currently in the 2021 version, the Honda BIZ continues with its 110 and 125cc versions, bringing spoked wheels for the first and star-type rims for the second, and offers a good variation of colors between them, with 7 in total.
