Circular economy at Plasta | Turning waste into quality film
Plasta from Sentrupert is the market leader in Slovenia in the recycling of polyethylene (PE) packaging waste and the production of blown film from recycled material. Since 2017, the recycled plastics have been processed into high-quality film products on Alpine blown film lines. 65 tons of post-consumer waste arrive at Plasta every day for this purpose. Plastic granulate is created again from the waste. On five Alpine lines, the recycled granulate is then turned into trash bags or high-quality industrial and agricultural films. Hosokawa Alpine extruders and die heads are ideally suited for processing PCR materials - the line components are precisely matched to each other. Optimum cooling of the bubble and the supply of cool melt ensure an efficient and stable production process. Find out more on our website: https://www.hosokawa-alpine.com/blown...
