Child skateboarding prodigy Danny Way was 14 years old when this was filmed in 1988. He went on to become perhaps the greatest skater of all time and this was filmed at a time when he was cementing his legacy with never before done maneuvers with unimaginable height, speed and power. Filmer Tony Roberts shot this over the course of a few days in San Diego, California, for his part in Santa Cruz Speed Wheels "Speed Freaks" and shows Danny's fearlessness and ability to not only make seemingly impossible tricks, but handle some hard slams. Danny breaks down here he thinks the future of skateboarding will go, his favorite type of skating and does some technical coaching with friend Darin Jenkins explaining "there is no reason to bail".
