The cartoon series premiered on September 18, 1987, and ran for a total of 100 episodes over four seasons, with its final episode airing on November 28, 1990. Based on Uncle Scrooge and other Duck universe comic books created by Carl Barks, the show follows Scrooge McDuck, his three grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and close friends of the group, on various adventures. DuckTales (Brazil: DuckTales: Os Caçadores de Aventuras / Portugal: Patoaventuras) is an animated series from Walt Disney Studios, produced between 1987 and 1990, and inspired by the Disney comic book series, mostly produced by Carl Barks. It is considered the most famous animated series ever produced by Disney, having the most episodes, a total of 100. In addition to the series, a feature-length film, titled DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, was also produced in 1990, shortly after the series ended. The pilot episode aired in the United States on September 11, 1987.
