KAYATHA - Awataran Sthali of Shri Chitragupta. ————————————————————————- After the conclusion of the national convention of ABCKPMS at Indore, Shri RK Sinha led a team of Kayasthas from different states to the divine site of origin, KAYATHA, which is located 32 kms away from Ujjain. Kayatha is the “Awataran Sthali” of Shri Chitragupt Bhagwan, where He is said to have descended on earth after His origin from the whole body of Lord Brahma. At Kayatha, he penanced for years to master the art of governance, married to Shobhawati and Irawati who were blessed with 12 children, and who were sent to different Gurukuls in India, and on completing their education were married to Nagakanyas. Subsequently, it was from here that all 12 brothers were prompted by Shri Chitragupta to migrate to different parts of Bharatvarsh and establish themselves. Gaurh migrated to eastern Bharat, and formed Gaurh Pradesh (old name of Bang Pradesh, and Bengal), the son who migrated to Mathura were called Mathurs (who from there also migrated to Madurai to become Mudaliyar, and to Bengal to become Mitra), the son who migrated to Bhatner was called Bhatnagar, the one who migrated to Swat valley in Kashmir became Srivastava, the one who migrated to Kabul region of today to become warriors of central Asian Sakya tribe were called Saxena, the son who migrated to settle around Saryu river became Nigam, the one who migrated to Ang Janpada became Karna, and so on. Subsequently, these brothers became silo in their approach, and forgot about their rich common heritage and point of origin. Finally, we are gradually regaining our consciousness, and in the process reached the Jerusalem of Kayasth community called KAYATHA. It was a historic day for us.
