Many people confuse fiberglass (GRP) and gelcoat or don't know the difference. But this is precisely what's crucial for proper detailing: GRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic) is the base material, while the gelcoat is the outer, visible surface that is later polished. Even weathered or dull gelcoat surfaces can be restored to a high gloss with the right system. In this video, we demonstrate a modern boat detailing method using our system: We work with our Max Cut polish and the Max Cut pad to effectively correct the surface. For the finish, we use the same polish in combination with a medium pad, as the polish breaks down during application, resulting in a clean finish. Unlike traditional polishing compounds, our polish doesn't produce dust or etch into the surface, making application significantly easier and more controlled.
