Flawless Dawless: MPC Live 2 + MPK Mini + Launch Control XL // Midi setup tutorial
This dawless MPC production/performance setup is completely battery powered and fits in a backpack. I can't wait to take it on the road! In this video, I give a demo and tutorial of how to connect both the Akai MPK Mini midi keyboard and the Novation Launch Control XL midi mixer to the MPC Live 2. This would also apply to the MPC One and the MPC X. The MPC has been buggy and freezes for some people when trying to control it with external midi controllers. I figured out what the issue is, and explain what to do in the video. 00:00 Intro 00:30 Travel rig overview 01:10 Start w autosave! 01:46 Midi preference settings 04:26 Midi mapping explained 08:00 How to avoid freezing! 11:02 Midi control of effects 12:30 An even better approach If you found this tutorial helpful, please give it a like.
